uses your data in accordance with the legal requirements under European GDPR. By using only data we need, we implement privacy by default. The little data we collect is protected according to the state of the art.

Since both technology and data protection laws are constantly evolving we will update this information on privacy as needed. We therefore kindly ask you to check back on this declaration regularly. To facilitate this we provide the last changed date at the end of this document.

Whenever you access our webpage your browser automatically submits your current IP address as well as which browser you are using. This data together with the time of your request, the status and the page requested is stored in our logs for a few days in order to identify and rectify error conditions or security issues (Art. 6 Nr. 1 lit. f GDPR). We are unable to identify you via your IP address without serving a court order to your provider. Additionally under most circumstances your IP address changes every 24 hours.

We keep this data to us and will not transmit it to anyone else unless forced to by legal requirements or court orders. An exception to this are processors such as the company hosting our webpage. In accordance to Art. 28 GDPR these processors are bound by contracts to only use the data for our purposes, they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Besides this strict contract we also verified whether their IT security is up to the state of the art.

In case you use one of our contact forms or decide to send us an email, we will receive your personal data such as your email address and your name. We will use this data to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 Nr. 1 lit. b GDPR). If we are required by e.g. taxation laws to keep a record of this transaction we will store the data as long as we are legally required to (Art. 6 Nr. 1 lit. c GDPR). If there is no legal requirement we will delete the data as soon as we know your enquiry was answered successfully.

We will not transfer this data to a third party except we are forced to by legal requirements, court orders etc. We might also use processors as mentioned above.

Our web site provides links to other pages. Naturally for pages run by a third party we cannot explain their privacy policy. Please read their individual rules carefully.

When linking social media, such as Facebook, Google+ and Twitter, we use the “double click solution” provided by heise.de. Due to this your data is only transmitted to these providers once you actively decide to do so. It is therefore your own responsibility to verify their privacy policy.

To provide some functionality our website uses ies which we are not using for tracking, except for cookies provided by Google Analytics (see below). A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser on your computer that will be sent to our server whenever you decide to access our web page again. Only with cookies features such as a shopping basket could be implemented.

The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.

Your are entitled to ask us about the data we store about you and how we use the data. Rectification of false data in this data set might be requested as well as deletion. If for contractual or legal requirements we have to keep the data we will restrict the usage on your request to the reasons that prevented us from deleting.

If feasible both from a technical as well as logical perspective you have the right to data portability where we have to provide the data stored about you in a standard format in order for another party to import it into their systems.

Duration of Data Storage

The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user-identifiers (e.g. User-IDs) or advertising-identifiers are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.

Rights of the Persons affected

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by blocking the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functionalities of this website to their full extent.
